Yahoo! has bought Stata Labs, the guys behind Bloomba an excellent email program that is more of a database. But perhaps more importantly, as Syd points out, it’s free for the testing period, meaning it’s likely that Google is going to start charging, at some point, for email (or perhaps for certain extra features).
