    Yes I also suspect that the Sun Chronicle will find its comments dwindling.

    It’s difficult to know what’s best. For example, Malaysiakini is an important online ‘newspaper’ in Malaysia, providing a vital alternative voice to the muzzled mainstream media. You have to register with your real name (associated to your subscription), but you can choose a pseudonym for your comments.

    This seems to work all right, with most articles attracting comments. However, I’ve taken to mostly ignoring them because of their repetitiveness and lack of real debate – but that’s just my own preference I suppose.

    You had a really bad experience but we all should learn from it and try to be cautious. The menace of wrong commenting or editing online content for worse has become quite prominent these days. Thank you so much for sharing this informative blog.
